The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the Ministry of Healthcare of Kazakhstan and SK-Pharmacy LLP, is carrying out regular work to receive humanitarian aid from China.
On April 9, 2020, a team of Chinese doctors arrived in Nur-Sultan from China on a charter flight to provide consultative assistance to Kazakhstani doctors in the treatment of coronavirus and to exchange experience on preventing the spread of the virus.
The team consists of highly qualified medical staff with practical experience in prevention and treatment of coronavirus. The Chinese doctors will work with their Kazakh colleagues in Nur-Sultan.
In addition, the Chinese Government’s humanitarian aid in the form of more than 4 tons of medical protective equipment (surgical masks, protective suits, medical ventilators) was delivered on the same flight.
Overall, the Kazakh-Chinese cooperation in the fight against coronavirus is actively developing within the framework of the agreements reached during a telephone conversation between the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the President of China Xi Jinping on March 24.
