On the meeting of the Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan

Nur-Sultan, September 2, 2022 - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yermukhambet Konuspayev met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Berdyniyaz Myatiyev.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the state and prospects of development of Kazakh-Turkmen cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats.

The parties focused on the implementation of the agreements reached following the state visit of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Turkmenistan in October 2021, as well as preparations for the participation of the Turkmen side in the upcoming international events in the capital of Kazakhstan in October 2022 – the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia, CIS and Central Asia-Russian Federation Summits.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on the continuation of joint work between the foreign ministries aimed at further strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
