Ministry of Foreign Affairs discusses preparations for the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the UN

NUR-SULTAN, February 1, 2020 - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tileuberdi met with the UN Under-Secretary-General, Special Adviser on the Preparations for the Commemoration of the Seventy-Fifth Anniversary of the United Nations Fabrizio Hochschild.

During the meeting, the parties shared their views on a wide range of issues on the international agenda as well as thepreparations for the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the UN. The main topics of the anniversary session of the UN General Assembly will be digitalization and youth.

Minister Tileuberdi presented the initiative of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to establish the Presidential Youth Personnel Reserve as wellas the ongoing work of Kazakhstan’s digitalization efforts.

Mr. Hochschild, who participated in the Digital Almaty international forum on January 31 this year, praised the active role of Kazakhstan in the activities of the UN. According to him, over the 27 years of Kazakhstan joining the UN, the parties have managed to achieve a high level of cooperation in all areas of the Organization’s activities.
