Foreign Ministers of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan met in Nur-Sultan

Nur-Sultan, June 7, 2022 - At the initiative of Turkmenistan, Mukhtar Tileuberdi, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, met with Rashid Meredov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, within the China + Central Asia Foreign Ministers' Meeting.

During the meeting, the parties reaffirmed the mutual commitment of Nur-Sultan and Ashgabat to further strengthen and expand political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation in the spirit of friendship, good neighborliness and strategic partnership. The parties also addressed the issues of interaction within multilateral structures, including participation in upcoming international and regional events at the highest and high levels.  

The sides also discussed pressing issues on regional and international agendas.
