Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Hosts Meeting with National Football Team’s Players

Nur-Sultan, 27 May 2022 - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan hosted the players of the national football team.

The guests visited the Museum of the Foreign Ministry, inspected historical exhibits and a photo exhibition on the key moments of Kazakhstan's participation in the modern system of international relations.

At the meeting with the diplomats, the players talked about their preparations for the matches in the UEFA League of Nations in Group C and thanked the diplomatic missions of our country for the constant support in away matches. They also congratulated the Foreign Ministry on the upcoming 30th anniversary of the diplomatic service of independent Kazakhstan.

In turn, the Foreign Ministry representatives briefed the guests about the specifics of the work of protecting national interests in international relations, stressing that sport is an integral part of public diplomacy, while athletes are their countries’ recognizable representatives abroad. In conclusion, they wished the Kazakh players good luck in the upcoming matches.
