Telephone conversation between the Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan and the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office

Nur-Sultan, January 10, 2022 - Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tileuberdi had a telephone conversation with the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland Zbigniew Rau.

The Foreign Minister provided details on the current situation in Kazakhstan, as well as the counter-terrorist operation carried out with the participation of the CSTO peacekeeping forces.

Mr. Rau expressed his support for Kazakhstan with respect to the recent tragic events, offered condolences to the families of the deceased Kazakh citizens and wished a speedy de-escalation of tensions and stabilization of the situation in the country.

The parties also discussed the prospects for bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
