A public service has become available to citizens of Kazakhstan staying in the Republic of Korea, the Republic of Uzbekistan and Japan since October 2021. The pilot project of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan is being implemented as part of the optimization of the process of providing services for receiving documents and forwarding them for the production of passports to citizens of Kazakhstan abroad.
The pilot project, which reduces the period of public service provision from 80 to 30 days, is successfully operating in Kazakhstan's foreign institutions in Russia, Germany and the U.S.
The government agencies of Kazakhstan continue their joint work to expand the list of countries where conditions will be created to reduce the time for issuing passports to Kazakh citizens abroad.
