The President of Kyrgyzstan praised the bilateral cooperation with Kazakhstan

Bishkek, May 29, 2021 - As part of the official visit to the Kyrgyz Republic, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tileuberdi met with the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Zhaparov.

Mukhtar Tileuberdi conveyed warm and sincere wishes of prosperity and well-being to the people of Kyrgyzstan on behalf of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. He also noted that the Head of State is deeply interested in the sustainable development of mutually beneficial cooperation with the Kyrgyz Republic.

The Minister noted that Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan have historical fraternal bonds, demonstrated by comprehensive and multifaceted cooperation between our countries. In addition, he stressed that the recent state visit of President Sadyr Zhaparov to Nur-Sultan gave a powerful impetus to bilateral relations. "Kazakhstan is interested in increasing trade, economic and investment cooperation. Our countries have the necessary potential for this", Mukhtar Tileuberdi said.

In turn, the President of Kyrgyzstan highly appreciated the current state of bilateral cooperation and stressed that he would personally support all of Kazakhstan's initiatives and investment projects. "We value our relations with Kazakhstan, our closest neighbor and friendly state. We are ready for further expansion and deepening of the Kyrgyz-Kazakh fruitful cooperation", Sadyr Zhaparov added.

During the meeting, issues on the regional and international agenda, as well as the schedule of upcoming meetings at the high and the highest levels, were discussed. The parties noted the need to attach special importance to expanding the range of Kazakh-Kyrgyz political interaction and strengthening existing political contacts.

At the end of the visit, the Kazakh delegation visited the Kyrgyz-Kazakh Cultural Center named after Abai in Bishkek, which was opened as part of the anniversary celebration of the 175th anniversary of the great Kazakh poet and sophist. The activities of the Center are aimed at popularizing the work of the famous poet and strengthening cross-cultural ties and humanitarian cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
