T.Konoe highly appreciated Kazakhstan's contribution to international and regional security

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Kairat Abdrakhmanov held a meeting with President of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies Tadateru Konoe on July 3.

Kairat Abdrakhmanov highly appreciated the Federation's humanitarian activities in Kazakhstan in the field of health and social assistance, disaster risk reduction, and noted the importance of holding the 10^th European Conference of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, which will be carried out in Almaty in 2018.

The Minister stressed that the UN Hub of multilateral diplomacy, aimed at implementing the sustainable development goals and providing humanitarian assistance in Central Asia and Afghanistan, is being established in Almaty.

The sides also touched upon the strengthening of the role of Kazakhstan in providing assistance to the regional countries, including through the implementation of projects within the Kazakhstan System of Official Development Assistance.
