On the regular meeting of the Joint Uzbek-Kazakh Demarcation Commission

On May 10-14, 2021, Nur-Sultan held a regular meeting between the Government delegations of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan as part of the Joint Uzbek-Kazakh Demarcation Commission.

The parties resumed the preparation of the draft final documents for the demarcation of a section of the state border between the Turkestan region of Kazakhstan and the Syrdarya and Jizzakh regions of Uzbekistan, and continued the discussion of the draft Agreement between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan on the demarcation of the Kazakh-Uzbek state border.

Negotiations were held in a positive atmosphere.

The next meeting is scheduled to be held in Uzbekistan in late May, 2021.
