This annual event is one of the leading strategic conferences in the world. Given the current unprecedented challenges to humanity caused by COVID-19, the forum entitled "Let's Heal the World Together" discussed many issues and took into account all possible medical restrictions in connection with the pandemic. The agenda included the future development of the world economy, politics and international institutions after the pandemic, the development pathway for the European Union and the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region in the post-crisis period, digitalization and promotion of democracy.

Within the framework of the forum, Minister Tileuberdi, along with representatives of Slovakia, the United States and the OSCE, took part in a discussion session on the topic “De-fragmenting the World - Envisioning a More Cooperative Future”.

The Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan underlined that humanity is facing numerous problems that are leading to growing distrust among countries. In connection with the COVID-19 pandemic, a new international reality has been formed, where the main trends are the escalation of unresolved conflicts in different parts of the world, the growing gap in the socio-economic and technological development, environmental pollution, etc. “Kazakhstan stands for a trusting dialogue at all levels, based on mutual understanding and respect. Now, more than ever, the world community needs a qualitatively new model of relations between states and peoples,” M. Tileuberdi said.

In this context, the Minister informed the forum participants about the initiative of the First President of Kazakhstan - Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev on the 3D dialogue at the global and interregional levels, especially emphasizing the need to organize a meaningful high-level meeting between the USA, Russia, China and the European Union. At the same time, the Minister also outlined the committed position of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to comprehensively strengthen the UN as the main international organization for the inclusive engagement of all states in solving world problems.

Highlighting the positive cooperation trends in Central Asia as an example of a successful and constructive dialogue at the regional level, M. Tileuberdi also presented the initiatives of the Head of State to enhance national dialogue between the authorities and society in Kazakhstan. According to him, steps such as the establishment and effective work of the National Council of Public Trust, reforming the legislation on elections, political parties, rallies, support for civil society, as well as Kazakhstan's accession to the Second Optional Protocol to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, are evidences of consistent implementation of the “State that Listens” principle.

In this regard, the participants noted the positive experience of the progressive development of democratic institutions in Kazakhstan, which deserves further support from the international community.
