Kazakhstan and the U.S. Sign MoU on Scientific and Technical Cooperation in Earth Sciences

As part of our ever-growing partnership, Kazakhstan and the United States signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Committee of Geology of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development and the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).  The MOU focuses on the application of advanced regional geological survey technology, the creation of geological databases, and implementation of international best practices and modern geological mapping technologies.  This cooperation will help develop Kazakhstan’s technical capacity, diversify its economy, and attract more foreign investment.
