Working meeting of the "C5 + 1" countries Ambassadors with the US Assistant Secretary of State

On November 24, 2021, the Embassy of Kazakhstan hosted a meeting with the newly appointed Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu.

The event was attended by the heads of the diplomatic missions of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

Enhancing the cooperation in economic spheres, overcoming the socio-economic consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as combating the climate crisis were among the key topics of the meeting.

The parties reaffirmed the importance of the “C5 + 1” dialogue platform, noting its effectiveness in addressing issues of regional cooperation, incl. humanitarian support to the Afghan people.
