Cooperation with the U.S. Congress

Yerzhan Ashikbayev, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the United States met with Ami Bera, the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Asia, the Pacific, Central Asia, and Nonproliferation in the U.S. House of Representatives on June 18, 2021.

During the meeting, both parties discussed issues of mutual interest and prospects for enhancing bilateral cooperation, including non-proliferation, counterterrorism, healthcare and education.

Ami Bera expressed strong interest in visiting the countries of the region, including Kazakhstan. Both parties agreed to continue closer cooperation and meet in person in the near future.
