A virtual meeting with the President of Chevron Eurasia Pacific Exploration and Production Nigel Hearn

On May 20, 2021 Ambassador Yerzhan Ashikbayev held a virtual meeting with Nigel Hearne, President of EurAsia Pacific Exploration and Production at Chevron.

The parties have praised high level of cooperation with Chevron in the oil and gas field as well as successful implementation of joint investment projects. Ambassador of Kazakhstan has expressed his gratitude for the assistance provided to Kazakhstan by the company for combating COVID-19.

Concurrently, counterparts discussed preparation course to the Kazakhstan-U.S. Trade and Investment Forum, while appreciation of Chevron’s leading role at the Kazakhstan-U.S. Business Council Board and hope for close cooperation with U.S. Congress regarding Kazakhstan’s graduation from Jackson-Vanick amendment along with the establishment of PNTR have been also voiced.
