Ambassador meets Minister of Economy and Innovation of Lithuania

Vilnius, March 17, 2025 – Ambassador Timur Urazayev discussed issues of the bilateral economic agenda with Minister of Economy and Innovation of Lithuania Lukas Savickas.

The parties exchanged views on the implementation of the Protocol of the 14th meeting of the Intergovernmental commission on bilateral trade and economic cooperation.

T.Urazayev informed about the work carried out by the Kazakh Government to support foreign investors and create a favorable investment climate, as well as presented a number of investment projects to which Lithuanian businesses are invited. In turn, L.Savickas confirmed mutual interest in deepening investment cooperation.

The interlocutors emphasized the need to deepen cooperation in the field of trade and expand business contacts. Special attention was paid to cooperation between the two countries in the field of tourism, including within the framework of the Working Group on Tourism. In this regard, the Kazakh diplomat invited the Lithuanian side to the annual Kazakhstan International Exhibition “KITF”, which will be held on April 23-25, 2025 in Almaty.
