Kaunas, July 5, 2023 – A photo exhibition dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Astana was organized at the Honorary Consulate of Kazakhstan in Kaunas, located in the largest business center of the city.
The opening was attended by representatives of the municipality, business and academic circles, cultural figures, representatives of the Kazakh diaspora, and students.
Counselor of the Embassy B. Mamlin in his welcoming speech noted that Astana is a dynamically developing metropolis, an established administrative, socio-economic, and political center of Kazakhstan. The growing geopolitical influence of the Kazakh capital as the leader of the Central Asian region is evidenced by the successful holding of the Astana International Forum in June this year.
The guests of the event noted the achievements of Kazakhstan in the socio-economic, political sphere and in the international arena. In their opinion, Astana is a symbol of the success and prosperity of an independent state, the desire of the Kazakh people for unity and openness to the whole world.
Kaunas is the former capital and second-largest city of Lithuania, a major industrial, cultural, and educational center of the country.
