Kazakhstan and Lithuania discussed cooperation in tourism

On January 30, 2023, the third meeting of the Kazakh-Lithuanian Working Group on the promotion of tourist services and products was held in Vilnius.

The Working Group was headed by the Vice Minister of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan Mr. Yerzhan Yerkinbayev and the Vice Minister of Economy and Innovation of Lithuania Mr. Vincas Jurgutis.

During the meeting, the parties presented the tourism potential of Kazakhstan and Lithuania, as well as an exchange of experience in supporting and promoting the industry in the post-pandemic period.

The parties especially emphasized the need for more coordinated joint work in introducing the public of the two countries to the attractions and opportunities of Kazakhstan and Lithuania.

Mutual interest in cooperation in the field of new tourist products, particularly in the field of eco and rural tourism, and health tours was expressed. In this regard, the rich experience of Lithuanian associations and sanatoriums was noted, which, according to Yerzhan Yerkinbayev, can be helpful for Kazakh-Lithuanian cooperation in tourism.

As part of the visit, the Kazakh delegation visited the International Tourism Exhibition "Adventur-2023", where meetings were held with Lithuanian entrepreneurs specializing in the tourism industry.

As a result of the visit to the exhibition, an agreement was reached to place the stand of JSC "NC "Kazakh Tourism" at the exhibition "Adventur" in 2024.
