Kazakhstan and Lithuania intend to develop cooperation in the field of official development assistance (ODA)

Vilnius, July 15, 2022 – The Embassy of Kazakhstan held a meeting with the leadership of the Lithuanian Central Project Management Agency (CPMA).

The Lithuanian side was provided with information about the Kazakhstan Agency for International Development "KazAID", which was established on December 15, 2020, as well as its goals, objectives and priority areas of work.

The Director of CPMA, Mrs Lidija Kašubienė, noted that the interaction between the Kazakh and Lithuanian agencies has great potential in terms of sharing experience and knowledge.

The parties considered the prospects for cooperation between CPMA and KazAID, including the creation of an appropriate legal framework and the possibility of implementing joint projects aimed at sustainable development of the countries of Central Asia and Afghanistan.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to maintain regular working contacts in order to realize the noted potential for interaction.
