SUSPENSION OF UNILATERAL VISA-FREE REGIME

In accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 727 dated October 30, 2020, an unilateral visa-free regime was temporarily suspended for citizens of 57 countries (the list of countries below), including the Republic of Lithuania.

The exception to this list are the Republic of Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Korea, that have signed the relevant visa waiver agreements with the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The listed suspensions were taken as a preventive measures against the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in the Republic of Kazakhstan and are effective from November 1, 2020 to May 1, 2021.

Furthermore, 72-hours visa-free regime has also been suspended untill December 31, 2020 for citizens of the People's Republic of China and the Republic of India, transiting via the international airports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

All citizens of the said countries planning to visit the Republic of Kazakhstan before May 1, 2021 will need to obtain a visa of the appropriate category (in accordance with the current rules).
