Kazakhstan and the OPEC Fund Confirm Commitment to Strengthen Cooperation

Vienna, January 22, 2025 – The Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan to International Organizations in Vienna, Mukhtar Tileuberdi, held a meeting with the Vice President of the OPEC Fund for International Development, Tareq Alnassar.

The parties noted the enhanced cooperation between Kazakhstan and the OPEC Fund following high-level meetings in 2024 and the signing of bilateral agreements.They discussed opportunities for joint work in developing transport infrastructure, agriculture, renewable energy, and other sectors.

Tareq Alnassar expressed the Fund's interest in supporting both public and private projects aimed at improving quality of life and fostering a sustainable economy.

At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Tileuberdi extended an invitation to the President of the OPEC Fund for International Development, Abdulhamid Al-Khalifa, to participate in the upcoming Astana International Forum, scheduled for May 29-30 this year.
