Prospects of Kazakhstan' cooperation with OSCE ODIHR discussed in Vienna

Vienna, January 21, 2025 – Mukhtar Tileuberdi, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to International Organizations in Vienna, held a meeting with Maria Telalian, newly appointed Director of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights.

The interlocutors discussed the state and prospects for the development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the OSCE ODIHR in the field of democracy protection, respect for human rights and the rule of law.

Ambassador Tileuberdi congratulated Maria Telalian on her appointment to the high position and noted that Kazakhstan traditionally attaches great importance to practical cooperation with the Organization in general, and with the ODIHR in particular.

Director Telalian, in turn, thanked the Kazakh side for supporting her candidacy and expressed her willingness to further strengthen cooperation with our country in the humanitarian dimension.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue the dialogue in a spirit of mutual understanding and constructive cooperation.
