Vienna, April 3-5, 2024 – Representatives of the Republican Chamber of Dairy and Combined Cattle Breeds Qazaqsut have visited Austria to study best practices in dairy farming. The delegation came at the invitation of the Austrian Agricultural Cluster (AAC), which includes more than 20 large agricultural companies.

During the visit, Kazakh farmers toured large dairy farms in Lower Austria and Styria and exchanged views on current trends. The delegation also visited the famous Pyhra Agricultural College, which has been training staff for all branches of agriculture since 1914.

Kazakh breeders were also introduced to the activities of feed manufacturer Lactosan and cattle genetics supplier Genostar Rinderbesamung.

At the Vienna Livestock House, the delegation was introduced to the particularities of the Austrian approach to cattle breeding, based on the development of the Fleckvieh (Simmental) breed.

This visit follows the visit of the Austrian delegation to Kazakhstan in the autumn of 2023 and aims to deepen cooperation between the two countries in the field of animal husbandry.
