Austrian-Kazakh Society to raise awareness of Kazakhstan

Vienna, 14 February 2024 – Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Austria Mukhtar Tileuberdi met with the leadership of the Austrian-Kazakh Society (AKS) - President Gabriel Lansky, Vice-President Wolfgang Hesoun and Secretary General Dietmar Fellner.

The Society was founded in 2012 on the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Vienna and with the support of friends of Kazakhstan among the citizens of Austria. Over the past period, the AKS has organized a number of thematic round tables with business circles, seminars, meetings, etc.

The parties discussed a wide range of cooperation. The importance of organizing events aimed at trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian interaction was stressed. Mr. Hesoun, Vice-President of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, noted the dynamic development of Kazakhstan's economy and the growing level of bilateral cooperation.

Ambassador H.E. Mr. Tileuberdi briefed the interlocutors on ongoing reforms and international events planned for Kazakhstan this year.

Plans for the current year were outlined and it was agreed to intensify the activities of the Society.
