The delegation of Kazakhstan participated in the work of the Commissions on Drugs and Crime in Vienna

Vienna, December 9, 2022 – The delegation of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in the resumed 65th session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs and the 31st session of the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, which were held on December 8-9, 2022 in Vienna in a hybrid format.

The head of the delegation, the representative of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan, Arman Kadyrov, in his national speech, reiterated Kazakhstan's commitment to the implementation of three international drug control conventions. In addition, he stressed the role of the CARICC, established and operating with the support of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, and thanked the UNODC Executive Director Ghada Waly for her visit to the Center last year. Kazakhstan is a member of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs for 2022-2023.
