The Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan in Vienna met with the Director General of the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD)

The Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan in Vienna Kairat Umarov met with the Director General of the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD), Austria’s former Vice-Chancellor Dr. Michael Spindelegger.

Ambassador Umarov congratulated the Director General on his reappointment and underlined the successful partnership between Kazakhstan and ICMPD since 2004 through the Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA).

The parties exchanged views on how the development of migration policies can alleviate the impact of such factors as the growing inequality between countries, climate change, and overall instability.
