The Ata Zholy card is a document of the established form issued to business immigrants of persons with sought-after professions among ethnic Kazakhs.
Starting from July 2023, ethnic Kazakhs living abroad will be able to get an "Ata Zholy" card and use the possibility of simplified entry into Kazakhstan.
The main purpose of the "Ata Zholy" card is to strengthen ties with the historical homeland, preserve national traditions, attract professionals and successful businessmen to our country to realize their potential in Kazakhstan. The card will be issued to ethnic Kazakhs living abroad while retaining their citizenship.
Holders of the "Ata Zholy" card receive a residence permit for a period of 10 years upon entering the country.
An ethnic Kazakh with an "Ata Zholy" card differs from Kandas in that they are citizen of another country and has equal rights with kandas and citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Holder of "Ata Zholy" card:
- provision of social payments and services in medical institutions within the guaranteed volume of medical assistance;
- employment in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan in accordance with the Labor Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Population Migration";
- Implementation of entrepreneurial activity in the territory of Kazakhstan in accordance with the Entrepreneurial Code and other legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Education" free secondary education in state educational organizations, free secondary and/or higher education in public special and/or higher educational institutions on a competitive basis, paid education in private educational institutions;
- Obtain legal aid guaranteed by the state in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Advocacy and Legal Aid";
- In accordance with the international agreements in the field of citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan and legislative legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan, he can use the right to obtain the citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan in a simplified manner.
