About the first meeting of «Aksakaldar Alkasy»

On March 17, 2021, at the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Mongolia, the first meeting of «Aksakaldar Alkasy» was held in Ulaanbaatar. Prominent politicians, public figures and scientists of the Kazakh diaspora of Mongolia, namely S.Taukeyuly, A. Tleikhan, Ch.Gulnar, A.Bakey,
T.Yetekbai and H.Volodya, took part in this meeting.

During the meeting, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Mongolia Zh.Adilbayev briefly spoke about the current political and socio-economic changes taking place in Kazakhstan in the context of the political course of the current leadership. It was also noted that the main approaches in carrying out new political and administrative reforms in Kazakhstan are pragmatism, quality, universality, consistency and phasing.

The Kazakh diplomat noted that the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan is working in accordance with the concept of a «Listening State», focused on a constant dialogue between the authorities and society, as well as the establishment of effective feedback between them.

In addition, Zh.Adilbaev informed that a consistent policy is being implemented in our country on the issue of resettlement of ethnic Kazakhs to their historical homeland and said that a decision was made to increase the regional quota for accepting kandas for 2021.

Along with this, a thorough exchange of views took place on the migration policy of Kazakhstan regarding to ethnic Kazakhs, obtaining citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan and withdrawing from it, promoting productive employment of kandas and their involvement in entrepreneurship within the framework of the State Program «Enbek». Special attention was paid to the issue of systematization of the allocated scholarships from Kazakhstan.

Also, the meeting participants reported that on March 10, 2021, the Public Council for the Development of the Bayan-Ulgii aimag was created, the chairman of which is A.Tleikhan. This Council will take an active part in the development of strategic programs for the specified aimag and interact with the local authorities in order to promote its interests.

A constructive exchange of views took place on the possibilities of holding joint cultural events dedicated to the 30th Anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence.

At the end of the meeting, an agreement was reached to hold quarterly a meeting of "Aksakaldar Alkasy" in order to discuss ongoing issues of ethnic Kazakhs in Mongolia and their practical solution.
