Dear citizens!
Until the global epidemiological situation improves, the following restrictive measures remain in place when crossing the state border of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
First, to enter the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan during the period of quarantine restrictions, a foreign national must be a citizen of the country with which Kazakhstan has resumed direct flights or must fall under one of the exceptional cases listed in the Border Crossing Procedure of the Republic of Kazakhstan, or have an entry permit in accordance with the decision of the Interdepartmental Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan (provided that the exceptional case or permission is confirmed by the required documents). You may find out more about the procedure for crossing the state border of the Republic of Kazakhstan through this link.
Second, the visa-free regime of entry in Kazakhstan has been suspended for the citizens of 57 countries, including Canada, until December 31, 2021 inclusive.
Third, passengers arriving in Kazakhstan from the foreign countries should have a negative PCR test certificate (no more than 3 days should pass from the day the result is issued till the moment of crossing the border of the Republic of Kazakhstan).
PCR test certificate must be in English, Russian or Kazakh languages.
Children under 5 years old do not need to take the PCR test.
In the absence of a negative PCR test certificate, passengers, including citizens of Kazakhstan and individuals holding residence permit of the Republic of Kazakhstan, will not be allowed on board at the airport of departure.
Starting from May 3, 2021, citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan and individuals holding a residence permit of the Republic of Kazakhstan who have received a full course of vaccination against COVID-19 in the Republic of Kazakhstan, upon providing a сorresponding documentary evidence thereof, do not need to present a negative PCR test certificate
Noting that the above decisions are aimed primarily at ensuring safety and health of our citizens, we are confident that these measures are exclusively temporary until the situation with coronavirus infection pandemic improves.
