A Solemn Reception on Occasion of Republic Day of Kazakhstan was Held in Bangkok

Bangkok, October 27, 2023 – The Embassy of Kazakhstan to Thailand organized a reception on the occasion of the Republic Day.

The event was attended by the Vice President of the Senate, the Mayor of Bangkok, the heads of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other government agencies of Thailand, as well as representatives of the business and scientific communities, the diplomatic corps and the media.

In his welcoming speech, Ambassador of Kazakhstan Arman Issetov told the guests about the history of the acquisition of the sovereignty of the republic, and also informed about the reforms carried out to modernize the political and economic system of the country, noting the success of the parliamentary elections.

Special attention is paid to the potential of trade, economic, investment, tourism partnership between Kazakhstan and Thailand. According to the results of 8 months of 2023, record figures for the entire history of relations in the field of trade and tourism were noted, and he also thanked the Thai Government for introducing a temporary visa-free regime for citizens of Kazakhstan. In addition, Ambassador Issetov noted that the growth of transit traffic through Kazakhstan is a vivid example of the fact that our country promotes mutually beneficial cooperation between Asian and European countries.

Kazakh cuisine dishes gave a national flavor to the solemn event. Also, the guests were presented videos about the achievement and formation of Kazakhstan, performances of a dance group and artists performing Kazakh music.

The guests paid great attention to the exhibition of the winners of the children's drawings contest. This year, more than 500 children from 11 provinces of Thailand took part in the contest "Kazakhstan through the eyes of Thai children". Schoolchildren were able to beautifully convey the Kazakh culture, symbols of Kazakhstan (baiterek, dombra, yurt) by drawing them next to the majestic temples of Thailand. At the end, Kazakhstani gift sets were presented to the visitors.
