Thai Business is Looking for New Partners in Kazakhstan

Almaty, September 18-20, 2023 – More than 20 representatives of Thai companies in the field of food production, healthcare, logistics, etc. explored the trade and economic opportunities of Kazakhstan. Our country is increasingly viewed abroad as a “gateway” to the market of the Eurasian Economic Union. This can be confirmed by the consistent increase in trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Thailand.

The first day of the Thai businessmen's stay was devoted to finding new partners from the business community of Kazakhstan. During the day, B2B meetings were held with the participation of more than 30 Kazakh companies. The negotiations laid the foundation for the future signing of contracts between the sides.

On September 19, the production and investment capabilities of the regions were presented at the sites of the Regional Development Center of the Almaty Region and the Almaty Industrial Zone. Directors of Kazakh Invest in the Almaty region and Almaty city also took part in the meetings. As a result of the events, the readiness of government organizations to find potential partners for the Thai entrepreneurs was expressed.

The meetings contributed to possible future projects on localization the production of Thai products in Kazakhstan.

The visit of a group of Thai entrepreneurs was organized by the “Kazakh Thai Alliance” with the support of the Embassy of Kazakhstan to Thailand.
