Nauryz meiramy celebrated in Thailand
On March 21, 2021, the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Thailand, with the assistance of the Honorary Consulate of Kazakhstan in Pattaya, organized the Nauryz celebration.
This year, the holiday of spring renewal is celebrated in tandem with a special event, the 30th Anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence. The event was attended by compatriots, guests from the CIS countries living in Thailand, as well as Thai citizens.
Within the framework of the «Rukhani Zhangyru» program on the revival of cultural and historical heritage, a documentary film about Nauryz was shown. In addition, in honor of the celebration of the anniversaries of prominent Kazakh figures - Mukagali Makatayev, Akhmet Baitursynov, Zhambyl Zhabayev, the Embassy organized a creative hour, where the participants read poems of famous poets, as well as performed well-known melodies on the dombyra.
At the end of the performances, active citizens were presented with letters of gratitude from the Ambassador of the Kazakhstan in Thailand H.E. Ms. Raushan Yesbulatova.
During the event, textbooks on the history of Kazakhstan, the Kazakh language and Kazakh literature were also handed out.
At the end, the guests tasted Kazakh national cuisine, including the traditional Nauryz kozhe.
