Hamadan Province of the Islamic Republic of Iran is interested in establishing close cooperation with the Republic of Kazakhstan

Hamadan, October 16-18, 2024 – A work visit of the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Iran Ontalap Onalbayev to the Hamadan province of the Islamic Republic of Iran took place.

        During the visit, O. Onalbayev met with the Governor of Hamadan Province Mr. Hamid Molanuri, where the parties discussed ways to strengthen interregional trade, economic, investment, tourism, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

        Ambassador of Kazakhstan congratulated Mr. H. Molanuri on his appointment as the Governor of Hamadan Province and wished him success in his responsible position. During the meeting, Ambassador acquainted the Iranian side with the political and economic reforms carried out in Kazakhstan and proposed to establish fraternal ties between the regions of Kazakhstan and Hamadan Province in order to revive cooperation between the regions of the two countries.

        In his turn, Governor of Hamadan Province H. Molanuri expressed gratitude to the Kazakh side for visiting the city of Hamadan, which is known as the capital of the history and civilization of Iran, and expressed confidence that in the future, relations between the two countries in various fields, especially interregional, will continue to strengthen. He warmly welcomed the proposal of the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to establish fraternal relations between the regions of Kazakhstan and the province of Hamadan and stated that they are ready to work together in this direction.

        Also, during the visit, O. Onalbayev took a speech at a meeting with the participation of the leadership and members of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mining and Agriculture of the Province of Hamadan and noted that the development of friendly relations with Iran is a priority of Kazakhstan's foreign policy. The parties discussed the current situation and prospects for political and economic cooperation between the two countries, and also paid attention to the importance of increasing bilateral trade. Speaking at the meeting, Ambassador of Kazakhstan turn the attention of the Iranian side to the ongoing and planned joint projects between Kazakhstan and Iran, and also presented the investment opportunities of our country. O. Onalbayev invited entrepreneurs of the Province of Hamadan to take an active part in agricultural projects, processing, furniture production, mining and other areas of Kazakhstan. In his turn, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mining and Agriculture of Hamadan Province R. Mortazai emphasized the important role of interregional relations in strengthening mutual trade and economic cooperation, spoke about the potential and investment opportunities of Hamadan Province.

        In addition, during his work visit, O. Onalbayev visited the largest industrial and technological park in the country - "Bu Ali" located in Hamadan Province, where he held meetings with the management of the company working within the park ("Machine Barzegar", "Ekbatan Gas Control", "Hamedan Machine Zeraat Co", "Sahar Food Industries Co", "Vispar").

        Most of the company heads expressed interest in working in Kazakhstan and discussed in detail the issues of establishing and developing mutual cooperation with Kazakhstan.
