On October 8, 2024, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Iran, O. Onalbayev, held a meeting with Mr. Mohsen Khobrekh the President of SADAF Holding, to discuss mutual cooperation in the field of trade, economy and investment between the two countries.

During the meeting, M. Khobrekh reported on the great potential of the Holding, which he leads, in the fields of oil, gas, petrochemical, offshore and onshore gas and oil pipelines, undersea cable laying, offshore drilling, shipbuilding, construction, pharmaceuticals, etc. , said that the SADAF holding is interested in participating in priority projects in Kazakhstan. In particular, solving problems caused by wind in Astana, building residential and business complexes and shopping centers in Aktau, building passenger ships to increase tourist flow between the two countries, building a petrochemical plant, investing in the mining industry. Joint investment in oil and gas projects in Kazakhstan, the Persian Gulf, exchanging experience in the technology of manufacturing equipment for the oil and gas industry, etc.

In his turn, Ambassador O. Onalbayev emphasized that favorable conditions have been created for the work of foreign investors in the country and noted that proposals raised by the SADAF holding will be thoroughly considered. In addition, Ambassador offered the Iranian side to consider the possibility of developing the infrastructure of the Kuryk port, jointly launching commercial ships in Kazakhstan, and investing in mining fields in the country.
