On May 8, 2024, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Iran Ontalap Onalbayev met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Dr. Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and handed over a copy of his Credentials

At the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of further development of bilateral political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Islamic Republic of Iran, the organization of previously planned high and very high-level visits, and the strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation within the framework of international and regional arenas.

At the same time, during the conversation, the Kazakh diplomat informed the Head of Iran's foreign policy establishment about the progress of political and socio-economic reforms being implemented in Kazakhstan under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
