«Shanyrak» National Kazakh Corner was opened at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Iran
On May 1, 2024, at the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Islamic Republic of Iran, on the occasion of the opening of «Shanyrak» National Kazakh Corner, a national cultural event was held in conjunction with the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Kazakhstan.
This event was attended by the management and employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Heads of some foreign missions accredidated in Tehran, representatives of local mass media, activists of the Kazakh diaspora, Embassy employees and family members.
Taking the speech at the opening ceremony of the event, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Iran Ontalap Onalbayev, focused on political and economic reforms, new international initiatives of the President of Kazakhstan K.K. Tokayev.
The role of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in the development of our country and society was noted, who defined the fundamental goal of our state as the creation of a fair Kazakhstan, where everyone is guaranteed the rule of law and equal opportunities.
The Ambassador paid special attention to the statement of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan regarding the major natural disaster - floods that occurred in a number of regions of the country. As President said, within the framework of the unity and cooperation of the people of Kazakhstan, the threat of floods is behind us. Government, state agencies, competent institutions and volunteers worked together. Thanks to that, more than 119,000 people were moved to a safe place in time. About 45 thousand of them are children. Most importantly, all efforts were focused on saving human lives.
The Ambassador stated that May 1 - the day of the unity of the peoples of Kazakhstan is of special importance for our country, thanks to unity and harmony, Kazakhstan has achieved significant achievements in creating an Independent state.
At the same time, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.K. Tokayev speaking at the XXXIII session of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan «Unity. Creativity. Rise» noted that in Kazakhstan many ethnic groups live in harmony, and the role of the unique structure of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan in ensuring peace in the country is important.
In addition, the Ambassador described the main principles of cultural policy development of the concept of cultural policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2023-2029.
It was noted that by the initiative of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.K. Tokayev starting from this year, Nauryz holiday in Kazakhstan has been organized around the following themes: Day of meeting, Day of kindness, Day of Culture and national traditions, Day of shanyrak, Day of national clothing, Day of renewal, Day of national sports, Day of cooperation, New year and Day of purification.
As part of the event, with the active participation of family members of Embassy employees, a festive competition of dishes and songs of ethnic groups living in our Republic was organized in order to respect the traditions of our people and present them to a foreign audience.
The «Tusau Keser» tradition was held, dedicated to the national holiday of our country, as well as national games competitions were held in order to strengthen morale and popularize a healthy lifestyle, as well as «Welcome to Nauryz» competitions among the children of Embassy employees.
During the event, a special exhibition was opened in order to widely introduce the national jewelry and handicrafts of the Kazakh people to the guests and to promote the culture and art, customs and traditions of the people, to show the current level of development of the applied and decorative arts through the works of the craftsmen of Kazakhstan.
At the same time, the correspondent of the «Iran Daily» newspaper R. Ahmedlu expressed gratitude for the opening of the national Kazakh corner «Shanyrak», organized in the building of the Kazakh Embassy, and stated that today he had a good opportunity to get acquainted with the rich culture and traditions of the Kazakh people. He mentioned the centuries-old historical and cultural ties and common values of Iran and Kazakhstan and expressed confidence that close cooperation between the two countries will continue to strengthen.
In conclusion, as a result of the cultural event, peace and solidarity between peoples has not been broken since the Independence of our country until today, representatives of many ethnic groups with different looks, different desires, different hearts, different languages, and different religions live peacefully under one roof, showing a bright example of unity.
