Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Iran Askhat Orazbay led a delegation of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the 31st ECO RPC Meeting
On January 21, 2021 the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Iran – Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan to ECO Askhat Orazbay in the capacity of the Head of Kazakhstan’s delegation participated in the 31st Meeting of the Regional Planning Council of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO RPC).
In his remarks, the Ambassador highlighted intensification of participation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in ECO activities, stressing that in 2020 despite the
Covid-19 pandemic Kazakhstan’s representatives attended 85% of the ECO events.
The Permanent Representative also urged the ECO member countries and the Secretariat for necessity of focusing on increasing a number of real projects in the framework of the Organization and ensuring their cost effectiveness.
At the end of the meeting the ECO Work Program and Calendar of Events for 2021 as well as the Report of the 31st RPC Meeting were adopted.
