Press-release on the 9th Kazakh-Iranian consular consultations
On 21 October 2020 the 9th Kazakh-Iranian consular consultations were held between Kazakhstan and Iran.
The Kazakh delegation was led by the Director of the Consular Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bauyrzhan Akatayev, and the Iranian delegation was headed by the Director of the Consular Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mahmood Adib.
During the consultations a wide range of bilateral issues in consular sphere was discussed by the two sides. In particular, consular-legal and visa issues as well as those related to protection of rights and interests of the both countries’ nationals were considered in detail.
As a result of the consultations, a Protocol reflecting all agreements achieved during the talks on extending the consular cooperation was signed.
The 8th consular consultations between Kazakhstan and Iran were hosted by Tehran on 13-14 November 2018.
