The Embassy of Kazakhstan took part in the ethno-sports festival

Shilda, June 8-9, 2024 - The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Georgia, along with several other foreign diplomatic missions, , took part in the ethno-festival held at the palace of King Levan in the southern region of Georgia - Kakheti.

 At this event, which was supported by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Georgia, each participating country showcased its national sports and traditions, and also organized excursions to historical events.

 The delegation from Kazakhstan informed festival participants and guests about the upcoming events planned for September 8-13 of this year in Astana, at the Fifth World Nomad Games, and extended invitations to witness the grand international sports competitions aimed at fostering the development of ethno-sports and the ethno-cultural movement, representing a heritage of human civilization. A film about Kazakhstan, as well as about the nomadic games, was screened.

 Athletes from the Georgian Federation of «Қазақ күресі» showcased their skills at the festival, leaving a profound impression on the audience. According to Giorgi Chitashvili, President of the «Қазақ күресі» Federation and Honored Coach of Georgia, the interest of foreigners in is growing, which reflects the synthesis of various traditional wrestling styles. In response, the Georgian national team expresses its readiness to meet its opponents in the great steppe and put up a good fight at the World Nomadic Games.

 The festival of friendship, which unites peoples and countries, successfully achieved its goal. Each participant, each guest not only presented the history and culture of their homeland, but also got to know the amazing world of national creativity of different countries.
