About the meeting at the monument to the Kazakh poet Abai

 

 

It has been more than a year since the monument and square of the Kazakh philosopher and public figure Abai Kunanbayev was opened in Tbilisi. The fact that Shota Rustaveli Street exists in many cities of Kazakhstan is significant. This indicates the deepening of relations and mutual respect between the two countries. Under this auspices, on October 28, 2023, organized by the Embassy of Kazakhstan, a number of works were carried out in the mentioned square. We also emphasized the importance of Abai Kunanbaev's philosophical role and his genius social ideals. I would like our society to know Abai Kunanbaev in Georgia the way they know Shota Rustaveli in Kazakhstan. For this purpose, a number of events were held, for example, a book was published in connection with the 175th anniversary of Abay. Along with the passage of time, the cultural relations between Georgia and Kazakhstan are expanding and gaining new and larger dimensions.
