The International Forum "The experience of Uzbekistan and the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in supporting women" was held in Samarkand

On November 22, 2023, the International Forum "The experience of Uzbekistan and the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in supporting women" was held in Samarkand.

The forum was attended by high-ranking representatives of more than 20 countries of the world, as well as the General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Organization for the Development of Women, the legislative and executive authorities of Uzbekistan.

Deputy Chairman of the National Commission on Women's Affairs and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Suleiman Lyazzat Zhanylykovna took part in the forum on behalf of the Kazakh side.

During the forum, specific proposals and recommendations were developed that will serve to prepare new projects and programs to protect the rights and interests of women, as well as strengthen the institution of the family in the OIC member States.

The participants presented new initiatives and proposals aimed at enhancing the role and position of women in the sustainable development of the OIC Member States.
