Working visit of the delegation of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan in Tashkent

A delegation of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan headed by Deputy Chairman of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan – Head of the Secretariat of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Marat Azilkhanov arrived in Tashkent on a working visit.

On October 4, a meeting was held between representatives of the Kazakh delegation and the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendly Relations with Foreign Countries under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, during which topical issues of interaction between authorized state bodies of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan were considered.

There was an exchange of experience in ensuring social harmony and unity, strengthening civic identity. New vectors of cooperation were discussed.

The head of the Uzbek delegation, Adviser to the Minister of Culture Zafar Akhmetov, expressed gratitude to the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan for cooperation, stressing that further joint work will make a significant contribution to the development of cultural and humanitarian cooperation between fraternal states.

Following the meeting, an updated Memorandum on mutual cooperation was signed between the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan and the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendly Relations with Foreign Countries under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The main areas of cooperation of the Memorandum provide for the development and implementation of joint projects that contribute to the further development and strengthening of friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Uzbekistan, the exchange of information on various aspects of ethnopolitics, interethnic and interfaith relations and intercultural interaction and other issues.

In addition, the Kazakh delegation met with the participation of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Uzbekistan Beibut Atamkulov with the Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs and Interparliamentary Relations of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Dilor Fayzieva.

The issues of cooperation between the deputy association "Bir el - bir mudde" of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Legislative chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan aimed at strengthening cooperation, deepening relations in the political, social, cultural, humanitarian spheres were considered.

There was also a ceremony of laying flowers to the monument of Abai Kunanbayev in Tashkent, a visit of a delegation to the Embassy of Kazakhstan and a meeting with the leadership of the Kazakh National Cultural Center in Uzbekistan, where a number of issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed.
