Australian students dedicate a piece of music to Kazakhstan

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the 29th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Australia, students of the Australian National University Michael Matheson-Deng and Benjamin Tran wrote a special piece of music.

According to Michael Matheson-Deng, the music recreates the impressions of the wonderful natural flora and fauna that can be found in many of Kazakhstan's magnificent snow-capped mountains. When we wrote the melody (first on the oboe, and then on the flute), we imagined the fresh air of the Kazakh nature, the bright colors of trees and flowers, the stunningly beautiful white snow on the top of the mountain.

There may not be many mountains in Australia, but we have stunning views with beautiful trees and vibrant flowers, which allowed us to find a lot in common with Kazakhstan. In winter, the Canberra countryside occasionally gets snow and fresh air, cool weather and stunning snow-covered landscapes have had a big impact on the piece of music.

The introduction of the whole orchestra after the sounds of trumpet and trombone is the culmination of "Dedication to Kazakhstan", which is associated with a sense of courage, determination and bravery when we reach the top of the Alatau.
