Cooperation between the Regions of Kazakhstan and France

Strasbourg, February 7, 2025 – Diplomats of the Consulate General held a meeting with Caroline Kellner, Advisor to the President of the European Community of Alsace, and Jean Richert, Director of the Environment and Agriculture Department. The meeting was focused on discussing the implementation of the Memorandums of Mutual Cooperation between the Almaty and Mangystau Regions Administrations and The European Community of Alsace, signed in Strasbourg in 2024.

During the negotiations, the parties reviewed and aligned their positions on previously proposed joint initiatives aimed at fostering investment dialogue and expanding tourism opportunities between the two countries. Particularly, they agreed to utilize the economic and cultural platforms of the French region to organize thematic round tables and presentations in the near future.

Both sides acknowledged that the joint projects planned for 2025 would contribute to enhancing Kazakhstan’s investment and tourism appeal for the business and public sectors of French Grand Est.
