The Delegation of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan Participated in the Meetings at the Council of Europe

Strasbourg, December 2-5, 2024 – The delegation of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan (SC), headed by the Chairman of the SC Aslambek Mergaliyev, visited the Headquarters of the Council of Europe and participated in the 3^rd Global Forum on Enforcement and the 43^rd Plenary Session of the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ).

During the Plenary session, the delegation of the SC made a separate presentation. The Chairman of the SC A. Mergaliyev informed European experts about the reforms of the judicial system of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the main stages of its digitalization.

As part of the visit, separate bilateral meetings of the Head of the Kazakh delegation with the President of the CEPEJ Mr. Francesco Depasquale, as well as with the President of the European Court of Human Rights Mr. Marko Bošnjak took place.

The parties discussed the current state of bilateral cooperation and identified promising areas for further interaction.
