Strasbourg, May 21, 2024 – With the support of the Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan, an online meeting was held between representatives of the «Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary» National Company and the International Space University (ISU) located in Strasbourg, France.

During the negotiations, the parties presented information about the activities of their respective institutions to explore the possibility of establishing personnel training cooperation in the space industry. Considering the significant trend in the development of space research and future prospects in the exploration and peaceful use of space, the management of «Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary» represented by Arman Syzdykov and Kanat Sakhanov, expressed interest in ISU's master's programs in space studies, various short-term courses, and the University's internship programs within the worldwide leading educational institutions.

In turn, Dane Coult from ISU noted that they are aware of Kazakhstan's significant status in the space industry. According to D. Colt, ISU has established partnerships with leading global organizations in the space sector, and the university is already collaborating with industry agencies and educational institutions in several Central Asian and Caucasian countries.

Taking into account ISU's extensive experience and its network of educational institutions worldwide with unit centers in the USA and the Asia-Pacific region, a thorough exchange of views regarding the participation of Kazakh specialists in the above mentioned programs took place during the Q&A session.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue the dialogue through exchanging detailed information by clarifying organizational and technical mechanisms of the partnership.

Founded in 1987 and registered in France and the USA, ISU has graduated around 5,400 students from 110 countries, including astronauts, entrepreneurs, and current and former leaders of space industry institutions and government structures in this field. The University's faculty includes professors-researchers in space policy and international relations from the Space Policy Institute (George Washington University), group members in astronomical and planetary missions of the European Space Agency (ESA) and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
