Kazakhstan`s reforms in the focus of attention of Bulgarian parliamentarians
Sofia, March 1, 2024 – In order to further develop and strengthen interparliamentary ties and provide detailed coverage of political and socio-economic transformations and reforms in Kazakhstan, Ambassador V.Temirbayev met with members of the Friendship Group with Kazakhstan in the Bulgarian National Assembly of the 49th Convocation.
The parties expressed particular satisfaction with the current high level of bilateral relations developing in the spirit of friendship and cooperation, as well as effective interaction in multilateral formats such as the UN, OSCE, etc. Considering that the interparliamentary dialogue is important from the point of view of developing contacts through people`s diplomacy, the mutual intention to strengthen ties between the Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan and the National Assembly of Bulgaria was confirmed.
At the same time, during the informative meeting, special attention was paid to large-scale reforms and initiatives of the President of Kazakhstan K.Tokayev. In particular, the Bulgarian deputies welcomed them, expressing confidence that these transformations will give a powerful impetus to the development of the state and achieve the strategic goal of doubling Kazakhstan`s GDP by 2029.
In conclusion, the interlocutors agreed to maintain a working dialogue on all issues identified during the meeting.
