Issues of development of cooperation in the energy sector were discussed at the Ministry of Energy of Bulgaria

Sofia, June 30, 2023 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan Viktor Temirbayev met with newly appointed Minister of Energy of Bulgaria Rumen Radev. During the meeting, promising areas of cooperation in the energy sector were discussed.

Ambassador V.Temirbayev informed the interlocutor about the current state of the energy sector in the economy of Kazakhstan, the ongoing work to diversify the routes of transportation of energy resources, in particular to European countries, as well as the introduction of elements of «green energy». The Kazakh diplomat stressed the importance of the development of the renewable energy sector in the context of the diversification of the energy sector, which accounts for 4.5% in the structure of the economy of Kazakhstan.

Taking the opportunity, Ambassador V.Temirbayev invited Minister to the Forum «Kazakhstan Energy Week-2023», which will be held on October 3-6, 2023 in Astana.

In turn, R. Radev expressed his commitment to the development of bilateral cooperation, assuring of his support for initiatives to further strengthen mutually beneficial partnership.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to maintain working contacts on all topical issues.

 

Kazakhstan Energy Week – 2023 (KEW-2023) / XV Eurasian Forum KAZENERGY, organized by the KAZENERGY Association since 2006, is the main international event of the energy sector in the Caspian and Central Asian regions.

The Forum traditionally attracts the interest of world governments, international energy organizations, diplomatic missions, Kazakhstani and foreign companies in the energy sector, research institutes and consulting agencies.
