The MEP expressed support for political reforms in Kazakhstan

Sofia, May 18, 2023 – Today, Ambassador of Kazakhstan Viktor Temirbayev met with Ilhan Kyuchyuk, a member of the European Parliament from Bulgaria,
 co-chairman of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe.

During the meeting the Kazakh diplomat acquainted the MEP with the latest transformations in the country's political system and the results of the electoral period this year. In addition, Ambassador Mr. Temirbayev informed about the current state and prospects for the development of Kazakh-Bulgarian relations in the political, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as plans for their further deepening.

In turn, Mr. Kyuchyuk welcomed the ongoing reforms, noting that it reflects the real desire of Kazakhstan to move along the democratic path of development.

In conclusion, the parties agreed to maintain working contacts on all issues identified during the meeting.
