On March 16, 2022, the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Bulgaria together with the Sofia Technical University celebrated the International holiday "Nauryz" and the 100th anniversary of the People's Artist of Kazakhstan Roza Baglanova by showing documentaries about Nauryz and Roza Baglanova.

In addition to representatives of the Embassy and the Sofia Technical University, the event was attended by members of the Club of friends of Kazakhstan, journalists, Bulgarian cultural representatives and citizens of Kazakhstan living in Bulgaria.

L.Dimitrov, Vice-Rector of the Sofia Technical University, delivered an opening speech at the event, noting the significance and relevance of the Nauryz holiday.

In turn the Ambassador of Kazakhstan T. Izbastin told the audience about the traditions and customs of the Nauryz holiday, and also dwelled in detail on the personality of the world-famous Kazakh singer Roza Baglanova.

An important aspect of the event was the screening of documentaries about Nauryz and Roza Baglanova.

At the end the guests of the event were able to get acquainted with the traditional soup "Nauryz kozhe" and other national dishes prepared by the citizens of Kazakhstan living in Bulgaria.
